Outdoor Centres

As well as the Loops and Links Trails there are a number of other sites and places to visit for those that want a quiet stroll in the park or those a bit more daring who want to try a bit of climbing at one of Europe's best indoor climbing centers.

The Loops and Links network uses short stretches of other cycling and walking routes that run through the valleys, such as the Taff Trail and the Cynon Trail. For those that want to explore further why not try one of the these routes, perhaps traveling as far as the Brecon Beacons on the Taff Trail, or down to Cardiff. Or tour the Cynon Valley along the Cynon Cycle route from Pontypridd to the base of the Brecon Beacons.

Fishing is also a hobby much enjoyed in the valleys and is possible at a number of the parks; contact Park Taff Bargoed for further information. The park also offers canoeing for those that like to get wet, and the Daerwynno Outdoor Activity Centre can offer a wide range of activities including climbing, orienteering, and climbing, plus the use of a bunk house for those that would like to stay longer.
