Train Services:

Arriva Trains

Regular Services operate between Cardiff and all stations that the individual routes of the Loops & Links network use. Trains run between:

Cardiff - Pontypridd - Treherbert
Cardiff - Pontypridd - Aberdare
Cardiff - Pontypridd - Merthyr Tydfil

Travelling by Car:

South Wales is served by three main routes: the M4 between London, Cardiff and Swansea; the Heads of the Valleys A465 between the Midlands, Abergavenny, Merthyr Tydfil, Hirwaun and Neath Valleys. Each of these travel East to West. The A470 connects the M4, Cardiff and North Wales via Pontypridd and Merthyr Tydfil.

Valleys Connections:

For Aberdare use the A4059 from A470 junction 4 miles north of Pontypridd.
For Treherbert, Porth, the Rhondda Fawr use the A4058 from Pontypridd.
For Maerdy and the Rhondda Fach use the A4233 from Porth.
For Merthyr Tydfil use the A470 direct.
For the Taff Bargoed Valley use the A472 from the A470 junction 4 miles north of Pontypridd, then follow the B4273 to Bedlinog.
For Ynysybwl leave the A470 at Pontypridd and follow the B4273.
